[Recruiting host families for Peace Ambassadors! ]

 

The Asia-Pacific Children's Conference in Fukuoka, which has become a regular summer event in Fukuoka, will be held again this year! This year as well, child ambassadors from over 40 countries and regions will be visiting Fukuoka, and around 30 young people called peace ambassadors (PA) will also be coming to Fukuoka!

Generally, the Peace Ambassadors are scheduled to stay at home with the same families they used when they came to Fukuoka as Children's Ambassadors, but every year there are some Peace Ambassadors who are unable to stay at their original home for some reason, and we find host families for those Peace Ambassadors. We are looking for.

Therefore, if you understand the content and purpose below and are willing to accept Peace Ambassadors, please read this page carefully before applying.

<What is Peace Ambassador? ...＞ Peace Ambassadors are young people who have previously participated in APCC as Children's Ambassadors. The Peace Ambassadors will be visiting Fukuoka again as ambassadors for each country, considering the APCC's purpose of "Peace." I will lead the bridge club, an organization of children's ambassadors OG/OBs organized in each country. Peace Ambassadors range in age from 16 to 39, with most Peace Ambassadors in their teens to 20s.

 

 

[Homestay schedule(period)】

July 20th (Thursday) Evening - 24th (Monday), 25th (Tuesday), 26th (Wednesday), 2017)

*The end period varies depending on the departure date.

 

[I'm looking for a family like this]

○ Families living in the prefecture who agree with the vision of Asia Pacific Children's Conference in Fukuoka (APCC)

○ Families who accept overseas youth (Peace Ambassadors) as “members of the family” and treat them like family members.

○ A home that can accept Peace Ambassadors from any country or region without discrimination.

○ Families who can accept us throughout the entire homestay period (see schedule above)

 

○ Families who can participate in the following events 

① June 17th (Sat) 10:30-12:30 Pre-acceptance briefing session for Ambassador Peace host families [Location: Namiki Square (in front of JR Chihaya Station, Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City)]   ② July 20th (Thursday) evening (scheduled for about 30 minutes from around 17:00) Peace ambassador meeting day 　　　　　[Location: Airefu 10th floor auditorium (Maizuru, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka)] *This is where you will meet the Peace Ambassador you will accept.   ③ July 23rd (Sunday) All day                      APCC event “We are the BRIDGE Festival 2017” [Location: Kyuden Memorial Gymnasium (4-14-1 Yakuin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City)] *As this is an official event with all participants, transportation to and from the venue at the designated time is required.   ④ July 24th (Monday), 25th (Tuesday), 26th (Wednesday) *Either one day Departure [Location: Fukuoka Airport] *You will be required to see you off at the airport on the specified date and time.   (Optional) July 2nd (Sun) 14:00-15:30 (scheduled) Host family gathering [Location: ACROS Fukuoka]                 July 22nd (Sat) 10:00-14:00 (scheduled)             Exchange meeting sponsored by Bridge Club Japan (BCJ) [Location: TBA]
