3月16日に新着情報としてお伝えいたしました
バヌアツ共和国のサイクロン被害と状況について続報です。

この数日でバヌアツのAPCC現地窓口担当者や
APCC同窓会組織であるブリッジクラブバヌアツのメンバーと
以下のとおり連絡が取れましたので共有いたします。

3月23日（月）ブリッジクラブメンバー（窓口関係者）より———-

Greetings from Vanuatu after a week port Vila is still devastating. A few offices have electricity and water many countries are piling in with aid such as tarpaulins, rice, tinned goods for people who have been affected it will probably take us 2 months to recover but office it may take about another week to fully operate again.

災害から1週間が経ちましたが、ポートヴィラは未だひどい状況です。たくさんの国々から被災者へ防水シート、お米、缶詰などの物資が届いています。復興には恐らく二ヶ月ほどは掛かりそうですが、窓口はあと一週間ほどで再開出来ると思います。

3月24日（火）ブリッジクラブメンバー（窓口関係者）より———-

BCV has not being able to meet yet but a lot of schools were severely damaged by Cyclone Pam, so they could not attend schools this week. Some homes were badly damaged. As there is a long line to wait for relief supplies such as tarpaulins, rice, tinned goods, noodles, clothes and books, we are asking everyone we know to help with donations so we can give them to our members and their families.

But now the sun is out, but yet some homes with no electricity and water supply yet So we are trying to help by every means. But please extend our words of thanks to our host families. We are all alive but just need some basic things to survive in the next few months.

BCV（ブリッジクラブバヌアツ）はまだ集まることはできていませんが、ほとんどの学校が今回のサイクロンで深刻な被害を受けたため、休校になっています。甚大な被害を受けた家もあります。支援物資を入手するために長蛇の列ができているので、私達も知り合いに寄付を募って、ブリッジクラブのメンバーやその家族に配ろうとしています。

状況は回復しつつありますが、多くの家にまだ電気や水が通っていません。彼らに手を差し伸べようと私達も活動し始めています。

ご心配下さっているホストファミリーや関係者の皆さまにお礼をお伝え下さい。当面の生活のための物資が不足してはいますが、私達はみんな元気です。

3月24日（火）APCC現地窓口担当者より———-

We have been through the storms and have come out stronger! Thank you for all your thoughts and support during this terrible time.

I contacted the Chaperon and the children concerned and they are still looking forward to coming to Japan.

Majority of houses suffered some damages. We will be short of food  but the people have been encouraged to start planting and rebuilding.

嵐が過ぎ、私達も強さを取り戻しています。この度はご心配やお心遣いありがとうございます。

今年度参加予定のこども大使や引率者と連絡が取れましたが、皆福岡にいくのを楽しみにしています。

多くの家が被害を受けました。食料は不足していますが、皆復興に向けて動き出しています。

福岡に来るのを楽しみにしているようですのでご安心下さい。
