Report from BRIDGE CLUB Nepal

about their supporting activities for earthquake victims

 

当NPO法人と、日本の過去事業参加者で組織する同窓会組織BRIDGE　CLUB JAPAN（BCJ）では、昨年4月25日（土）にネパール中部で発生した大地震をうけ、被災地で苦しまれている多くの方々に対し私たちにできる支援を行おうと、2015年4月から7月までの3ヶ月間にわたり、『APCC OMOIYARI募金』 と題した募金活動を行いました。

そこで集まった義援金（APCCから201,183円、BCJから191,175円）を、ネパールのAPCC同窓会組織BRIDGE CLUB Nepal に託し、現地で今、一番必要とされる被災者支援活動に充ててもらいました。

その第1弾となる活動レポートが、先日、現地から届きましたので皆様にご報告します。

APCCの皆さん

  我々BCネパールでは去る2016年1月23日、首都カトマンズから65キロほど離れたNuwakot州というところで、被災した子ども達への支援活動を無事、成功裏に行うことが出来ました。

今回、APCCからの支援金で、104名の生徒たちに文房具を寄贈することができました。これは私達の救援活動の第1弾ということで、今後、更に多くの生徒たちに文房具を届けたいと考えており、次回はまた別の被災地に赴く予定です。

また、同じようにBCJからの支援金では子ども達にセーターとニット帽を寄贈させていただきました。その時の写真を同封していますのでどうぞご覧ください。

The Asian Pacific Children Convention (APCC) in Fukuoka and BRIDGE Club Japan (BCJ), an alumni association of APCC, expressed our deep concern towards the devastating earthquake which hits Nepal in April 2015. From our side we started fund raising campaign『APCC OMOIYARI Donation for Nepal』for three months (from May to July) as a support to the earthquake victims.

 

The collected funds (APCC →201,183yen and BCJ →191,175 yen) were donated to BRIDGE CLUB Nepal (BCN), an alumni association of APCC. BC Nepal organized first phase of donation program to the earthquake affected school children.

 

Last week we received donation program report from BC Nepal.
And we would like to share the same report with all of you.

 

Thank you BC Nepal for carrying out this project and delivering the OMOIYARI of Fukuoka people to the affected areas’ children.

Dear APCC

 

Bridge Club Nepal (BCN) successfully conducted donation program to earthquake affected children in Nuwakot District, 65KM from capital City on Jan 23, 2016. Donation of stationery material reached out to 104 students. This is the first phase of our donation and we are committed to reach out to more students. In the second phase we are looking forward to help children from another affected area. 

 

We also conducted a donation of woolen clothes (Sweater and cap) to the children on the same event. This event was supported by Bridge Club Japan (BCJ).
