Calling for junior high school students' essays (International Understanding and Cooperation)

The Fukuoka Prefectural Headquarters of the United Nations Association of Japan, one of the organizations that supports the APCC project, has announced that they are calling for submissions of works from junior high school students (or junior and senior high school students).

The United Nations Association of Japan (Public Interest Incorporated Foundation) is now accepting submissions for the Nationwide Junior High School Essay Contest for International Understanding and Cooperation.
Any junior high school student in Fukuoka Prefecture can apply, and four students from across the country who are selected as grand prize winners will be able to take part in a study trip to the United Nations New York Headquarters during spring break.
Last year, a junior high school student representing Fukuoka Prefecture won the Foreign Minister's Award and was sent to the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

■55th "National Junior High School Essay Contest for International Understanding and Cooperation" Entries Wanted■
(1) Eligibility to participate: Junior high school students in Fukuoka Prefecture or students of schools in Japan that meet the above criteria
(2) Title of the essay
1) The future mission of the United Nations as it celebrates its 70th anniversary
②What should the United Nations do to eliminate poverty from the world?
3) What Japan should do within the UN to achieve a "world without nuclear weapons"
(3) Manuscript: No more than four pages of manuscript paper with 400 characters each.
Please clearly state your name, address, school name, grade, and age on your manuscript.
(4) Application deadline: Friday, September 4, 2015 (postmark deadline)
(5) Address for sending submitted works and inquiries
Entries must include the required information (name, school name, grade, gender, address, phone number)
