"Participants Wanted for Fukuoka Prefecture Global Youth Wings (Global & Local Leadership Program)!"

Since 1998, Fukuoka Prefecture has been conducting the "Fukuoka Program" to foster young leaders who can experience the dynamic world of Asia, acquire an international perspective, and play an active role in the local community.

We have been implementing the "Fukuoka Prefecture Youth Wings (Global Wings)" project.

Starting this year, we will further enhance the content of domestic training and overseas experiences in order to develop human resources who can respond to the progress of globalization.

This will be a new initiative under the name "Fukuoka Prefecture Global Youth Wings."

During the overseas training, the students visited four cities in two countries: Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) and Myanmar (Yangon, Bagan, and Pakokku).

Local companies, industrial infrastructure, businesses, multi-ethnic harmony (Muslim policy), cultural facilities, social contribution activities, etc.

In addition to making inspection visits to various fields, we will also hold networking events with people active in the local area.

This training is sure to be a rewarding experience for everyone, so please apply!

[Training period] Early September 2016 (first training) to mid-March 2017 (reporting session)

[Countries (cities) visited for overseas training] 2 countries and 4 cities in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) and Myanmar (Yangon, Bagan, Pakokku)

[Overseas training period] November 6th (Sunday) to 13th (Sunday), 2016 (7 nights, 8 days)

[Number of positions available] 24 people

[Participation fee] 120,000 yen for working adults, 100,000 yen for students

[Eligibility] Applicants must be residents of Fukuoka Prefecture, aged between 18 and 30.

[Application Deadline] Thursday, June 30, 2016 *Postmark on that day is valid
