Bridge Challenge Trip

Recruitment of chaperone volunteers

Supporting children's challenges
As a volunteer chaperone
Would you like to expand your possibilities?

What is a chaperone volunteer?

We will lead approximately 15 elementary, junior high, and high school students who have been selected through open recruitment as members of the Bridge Challenge Trip overseas and will support the challenges of children in Fukuoka.

The charm of being a volunteer chaperone

・You can grow yourself
On Bridge Challenge Trips, two to three lead volunteers work together to gather around 15 elementary to high school students into a group and lead them safely to the destination. In addition, through the training that takes place before and after the dispatch, we stay close to the children, watch over them, and monitor their growth. It is up to the volunteers to decide what kind of group they will form with these unique children! This is an opportunity for you to develop yourself by actively interacting with children and other volunteers.

・Feel close to the growth of children
Many of the children are leaving their parents' homes for the first time to go overseas, and some members leave Japan with tears in their eyes. Through local homestays and exchange programs, these group members gain a variety of experiences and grow significantly. The interaction between the lead volunteers and group members continues even after the project ends. Please continue to watch over the growth of the children who gained valuable opportunities through challenge trips.

・There is a chance to go to countries that cannot be visited by traveling.
Some of the destinations you will be dispatched to include countries and regions that are difficult to travel to on your own, such as the Maldives and Mongolia. The local point of contact is a public institution that has a long history of interaction with APCC, so you can feel safe leading your child in any country or region.
