Challenge Trip Leader Recruitment
Challenge Trip

Summer 2026,Go out into the world as a chaperone to support children's challenges!
Chaperones can also broaden their own potential and take on a variety of challenges.
What is a Bridge Challenge Trip Leader?

Chaperones are volunteers, university students and above, who accompany the Fukuoka children participating in the Challenge Trip and support their daily lives and activities while they are abroad. Chaperones play an important role in supporting the children from the preparation stage, organizing and implementing training before departure so that they can take on the challenge with peace of mind. While on-site, they manage safety and provide health support, and also pay attention to minor concerns in daily life, helping the children to focus on special experiences such as intercultural exchange and homestays. Chaperones are not simply companions; they are close confidants for the children, supporting them as they take on challenges and grow.
The charm of the leader
★You can develop yourself
In the Challenge Trip, three chaperones work together to unite approximately 15 elementary to high school students as a group and safely escort them to their destination. They also provide support and guidance to the children through training sessions before and after the trip, witnessing their growth. The type of group that you create with these unique children is up to the chaperones! This is a chance to actively interact with the children and other volunteers and grow as a person.
★Watch your children grow up close and personal
Many of the children will be leaving their parents and going overseas for the first time, and some delegation members will depart Japan with tears in their eyes. These delegation members will gain a variety of experiences through local homestays and exchange programs, and will grow greatly. The interaction between the chaperones and delegation members will continue even after the project ends. This is a chance to continue watching the growth of the children who have gained a valuable opportunity through the Challenge Trip.
★You'll have the chance to visit countries that you can't visit on a regular trip.
Some of the destinations include countries and regions that are difficult to visit on individual trips, such as Bhutan, Mongolia, and Sri Lanka. The local contacts are public institutions with a long history of exchange with APCC, so you can rest assured that you will be guided safely in any country or region.
