Every summer, over 200 children from over 30 countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific region are invited to Fukuoka as "child ambassadors" to build peace for the future.

We provide opportunities for interaction with children and citizens of Fukuoka and for intercultural exchange. Starting with a welcome at Fukuoka Airport,

Exchange camps where children can live together and deepen friendships, attending school during homestays, and public events where they can interact with the citizens of Fukuoka

A variety of exchange programs, including cultural events, will be held in Fukuoka for approximately two weeks.

 ● Invited countries and regions
Approximately 30+ countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific region

 Number of invitees
Six children ambassadors (three boys and three girls) (or four girls and two girls) from one country/region, plus one chaperone (adult leader), for a total of five to seven people

 Invitation conditions
Healthy children aged 11 and over who are selected and recommended by the local office

 ● Acceptance system
Participants will be chosen through a public application process to live with local families in Fukuoka Prefecture and attend school.
However, before moving into their homestay, and immediately after arriving in Japan, the child ambassadors will participate in a camp to get in shape and to interact with other child ambassadors.

 

homestayThe children's ambassadors and chaperones will stay with 300 ordinary households in Fukuoka Prefecture for about a week.

One-day School VisitThe children's ambassadors, invited from each country and region, visit elementary schools in Fukuoka City, and share school lunches and hands-on learning with the children.

We will promote communication through this.

Orientation and Exchange Camp

The purpose of the program is for the invited child ambassadors to get in shape and learn about the significance of participating in APCC, Japanese culture, and lifestyles.
