To all those who applied for the 9th batch of Wing Kids

 

Thank you for applying to join Wing Kids' 9th class.

We will provide further information regarding the selection meeting on Sunday, November 20th.

(There are no changes to the information already provided in the application guidelines.)

 

Wing Kids 9th batch selection meeting

[Date and time] Sunday, November 20th Reception hours: 13:50-15:30

Interviews will be conducted in the order in which applicants arrive, so please be sure to arrive within the reception hours.

Each interview is scheduled to take about 10 to 15 minutes. Please note that you may have to wait depending on how busy the interview room is.

September 18th (Saturday), Wing Kids Program 8th batch open lecture andAn information session was held for the 9th batch of Wing Kids Program students, and many people attended.

In November, we will hold the second information session for the 9th class of the Wing Kids Program.

If you have not attended the previous information session, please attend this one.

 

To apply for the Wing Kids Program, you are required to attend the "Wing Kids Program Information Session" and the "Spring Break Mission Project Member Parent Information Session."

Please make a reservation in advance for the information session listed below.

What is the Wing Kids Program?

■ Activities

* Participate in a dispatch program (Spring Break Mission Project) to go abroad and challenge yourself to experience different cultures. * Take courses to learn about the connections between Japan and other Asian countries and regions, and about Japanese culture and history.

* Experience being a host family and welcoming a foreign child ambassador into your home.

■ Activity period

* The program will run for about a year and a half from December this year to April the year after next.

(December 17th (Saturday)The entrance ceremony is scheduled for the afternoon of

* Activities will be held mainly in Fukuoka city on Saturdays and Sundays every month.

*As a rule, activities are held once a month, but depending on the program (such as training), the number of activities may increase.

■ Application conditions and qualificationsRegarding application:

* 4th and 5th grade elementary school students who can proactively take on new challenges and take responsibility for all activities.

* Be healthy in mind and body and in all activitiesAble to handle and manage on their own (including dealing with food allergies and taking medication)

* People who are eager to participate in APCC's dispatch and homestay programs / People who can enroll in overseas travel insurance designated by our organization

(The participation schedule and rules for each event will depend on the event's rules.

* Able to communicate with the APCC Secretariat via email

* Those who attended the Wing Kids Program Information Session and the Spring Break Mission Project Member Parent Information Session (held on November 13th)

 

■ How to apply

Please fill out all the necessary application documents and submit them by the deadline.By mailPlease apply to the APCC Secretariat.

Theme: "What would you do to make friends abroad?" (The format can be any, such as an essay or illustration.)

Your application will be accepted once we receive all the necessary documents.

*Wing Kids Program students are required to participate in the Mission Project as well, so they must submit applications and assignments for both projects.

3. Sunday, November 20"Wing Kids Program Selection Meeting" (interview)Parents and children must participate together.

The interview is scheduled to take about 15 minutes per group. Please note that you may have to wait depending on how busy the place is.

*All applicants who submit application documents will be interviewed.

*All applicants will be notified of the selection results by mail in early December.

*We are recruiting 30 people. Selection will be based on assignments and interviews.

 

■ Program participation fee

Lump sum: 145,000 yen Installment: 150,000 yen (75,000 yen paid in two installments in December and August)

◇Details about payment methods will be provided in the “Participation Information” once your participation has been confirmed.

◇What is included in the program participation fee

...Participation fees for various lectures, training sessions, presentations, and study tours

◇Items not included in the program participation fee (separate expenses required)

...APCC Dispatch Program Participation Fee (Schedule, program participation fee, etc. vary depending on the participating country)

◇Personal expenses related to overseas travel <same as for dispatch business(Passport acquisition, insurance, visa acquisition fees, etc.) > will be borne by each individual.

Depending on the content of the program, additional costs may be charged.
