By continuing to build friendships year after year, participants have adopted the APCC vision of being "global citizens with a heart of OMOIYARI," and voluntarily take part in various social contribution activities and cherish their connections with Fukuoka and Japan under a network organization called "Bridge Club" around the world. (Currently, "Bridge Clubs" have been established in 40 countries and regions.)

We received a warm message from one of the branches of this Bridge Club, Bridge Club Taiwan.

After hearing the news of the torrential rains that have been continuing in northern Kyushu since July 5th, the members wanted to do something to help their second hometown of Fukuoka and Kyushu, so they started collecting donations on social media. They received a report that they had received "OMOIYARI (feelings of compassion)" from their families, friends and acquaintances. Then, on September 8th, one of the membersMs Joanne WuMr. Miss.(9th Children's Ambassador in 1997, 18th Peace Ambassador in 2006. Studied abroad at Keio University for one year from 2008. He is involved with APCC as a volunteer and often comes to Fukuoka to deepen his ties with APCC members.)He delivered it to me when he visited Fukuoka.

This grassroots activity, APCC, has been running for 29 years thanks to the support of the people of Fukuoka. We hope that more people all over the country will think about Fukuoka and Japan, and that this will lead to a world filled with smiles, not only for children but also for us adults.

We hope that the donations we receive will be used by the city of Fukuoka to support and assist the people in the disaster-stricken areas.

In July, the island of Kyushu caught the torrential rains, with the prefectures of Fukuoka and Oita suffering the most. Heavy rain caused severe flooding that tore up roads and destroyed houses, with hundreds of thousands of people forced to flee their homes.

BRIDGE CLUB Taiwan raised funds for the flood victims of Kyushu Island. On September 8, Joanne Wu, member of BC Taiwan, visited the APCC office to handover the collected funds (approximately 36,000 yen) to the Fukuoka city. Thank you to BC Taiwan for this OMOIYARI help.
