[Thank you for your cooperation] We are collecting scraps of cloth and scissors ☆

The APCC Exchange Camp will be held from July 22nd to 23rd, with a total of 500 child ambassadors from overseas and Japan participating. This year too, an art workshop will be held by artist Katsuhiko Hibino. This year's workshop has the theme of ``Let's express our feelings for the people affected by the earthquake and the affected areas in a heart symbol!'' and the participating children will create flags studded with heart designs. .

``Heart Mark Viewing,'' a project to decorate disaster-stricken areas with hearts, was started by Mr. Hibino.Using recycled cloth, each person creates a heart with their own feelings, and then attaches it to a piece of cloth that serves as a base. The idea is to connect the completed mini-flags to create a single wall hanging and deliver it to the disaster area. If children from Asia-Pacific countries participating in APCC and Japanese children work on this together, it will be a unique piece of work!

Therefore, APCC is asking for scraps of fabric you have at home (cloth from old clothes is OK) and scissors (second-hand items are fine) for the children to use in this workshop. We collect scraps of various designs, so any design is fine. If you have cloth cut into 30cm x 30cm squares and scissors that you can donate, please bring them to the collection box set up at the Photo Walk venue on July 18th (Monday/holiday). please. The boxes are located in the plaza in front of City Hall, where the reception and dismissal will take place, and next to the "APCC Goods Sales" booth at the main venue. We will need a lot of scrap cloth and scissors, so we would appreciate your cooperation! !
