The United Nations Association of Japan (Public Interest Incorporated Foundation) is now accepting submissions for the Nationwide Junior High School Essay Contest for International Understanding and Cooperation.
Applications are open to junior high school students in Fukuoka Prefecture.
Several junior high school students from across the country will be selected as grand prize winners and will be able to participate in a study trip to the United Nations Headquarters in New York during spring break.
Last year, a junior high school student representing Fukuoka Prefecture won the Foreign Minister's Award and was sent to the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
